My adult daughters 25 and 29 have not had health care since they turned 18. They both had H1N1 for a month. They missed 1 week of work and school each. It cost them money, as well as their employers. My husband has insurance but the Insurance Company charges outrageous costs. I am disabled, on Medicare, and enrolled for part D (A REAL JOKE) and Medica has denied me seeing a Doctor I needed to see even though Medicare normally would have. I have co-pays now, but should not have them because I am disabled. I had Prescription coverage for only 4 months. I have been in the "DONUT HOLE" for the rest of the year. That means I only had drug coverage for 4 months. I PAY FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! My prescription costs are more than I receive for disability. My husbands costs are crazy. I AM SO FED UP WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANIES RAKING IN THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHILE WE SUPPORT THE CEO'S AND BIGWIGS RICH WAY OF LIFE. I AM SO FED UP WITH THE DRUG COMPANIES DOING THE SAME. THEY CAN LOBBY CONGRESS AND BUY SENATORS VOTES, SEND THEM ON TRIPS, GIVE THEM PERKS. ETC., but WE DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION. There should be no lobbying allowed. PERIOD.
We should have THE SAME HEALTHCARE THAT THE SENATORS IN CONGRESS HAVE. We are the ones that have put them into power to do right for us. I think we should start firing them if they don't. We deserve more for what we pay for taxes and our support of the POLITICAL ROYALTY has to stop. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to call your Representatives and tell them their jobs are on the line if they don't do something for us now. They need to help President Obama. They need to stop wasting time BICKERING and come up with a REAL PLAN. CONGRESS needs to be slapped until they get IT!! They need to pull their heads out of the clouds and realize that PRESIDENT OBAMA is the ONLY PRESIDENT EVER TO ATTACK THIS ancient relic we have called HEALTHCARE. Our so called Healthcare with all of these multi-billion dollar HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES is actually their way of DRAINING US FINANCIALLY. OTHERWISE - THEY WILL HAVE TO DO AS WE DO. THAT MEANS NO HEALTHCARE FOR THEM!!
